This was commissioned by a coworker as a gift for her husband. It was the first dog I ever drew, and I wasn't satisfied with the piece.
Background - soft pastel Dog is 20% soft pastel and 80% Prismacolor pencil. Drawn on white 80 lb Strathmore recycled paper. Comments

Bear in mind I know very little (ok, nothing) about drawing dogs or anything else, but I can see how well you've shown the contours of the face and different directions of hair-flow (no idea what that's actually called). Having not seen a dog like this for years, I saw one in the street yesterday who looked just like this one
