A drawing that I did of my daughter, Lexie. This was the first drawing that I completed using nero pencil - I have fallen in love with that medium. I love the range of values that I can achieve with it!
A2 (18 x 24 inches) Nero pencil Kneadable eraser Electric eraser Blending stump 20+ hours I won 3rd prize in the ASC art contest for Presbyterian Hospital employees (Charlotte, NC).  She's my baby. I've been wanting to do a drawing of her for a long time - wanting to capture her innocence before she was all grown up. For me, profiles are easier than straight on faces, because you only have to be worried about 1/2 of the face looking like the person. If I have a difficult time with capturing a likeness, I will draw the portrait upside down for a while, forcing myself to only draw what I see and not what I "think" I see. It helps a great deal. No problem, she seems like a sweet child.

Thank you for the kind comments regarding my drawing "Bubbles". I haven't been on here in AGES and just found you comment in a list a couple of pages long.
