A drawing that I did of my daughter, Lexie. This was the first drawing that I completed using nero pencil - I have fallen in love with that medium. I love the range of values that I can achieve with it!

CommentsAmazing O_O I can sense your love for your daughter in this sketch also... How do you do profile drawing so well?

For me, profiles are easier than straight on faces, because you only have to be worried about 1/2 of the face looking like the person. If I have a difficult time with capturing a likeness, I will draw the portrait upside down for a while, forcing myself to only draw what I see and not what I "think" I see. It helps a great deal. No problem, she seems like a sweet child.
That's a great idea to draw, I'll try that -- You've been piratized! Wanna learn how to draw? [link] Hi Degnan22,
Thank you for the kind comments regarding my drawing "Bubbles". I haven't been on here in AGES and just found you comment in a list a couple of pages long. I apologize for the delay in a courteous reply. Thank you again - the drawing is of my daughter. It's easy to draw someone you cherish. |
